A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Pankaj comes with a very rich and diverse experience in the Banking and Finance sectors.

Pankaj joined the Kotak Group in 1999 as Vice President – Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. and since then has juggled many responsibilities within the Group. Prior to joining Kotak Life Insurance, he was heading the Retail Assets business at Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. where he was responsible for verticals like Car Finance, Personal Loans, Home Finance and Business Banking.

Mr. Desai is passionate about reading and traveling.

Venkataraman is the Sr. V.P. for Marketing at Kotak Life Insurance. As a Marketing Head, she oversees Brand Building, Product Development, Activation and Corporate Communication. An MBA in marketing, Elizabeth has over 15 years of experience with exposure to Computer Hardware, Automobiles, FMCG and Banking. She has been associated with Kotak for the past six years and has moved to Kotak’s life insurance business eight months ago.

Andrew Cartwright is Executive Vice President of the Actuarial at Kotak Life Insurance and also the Appointed Actuary for the Company. As the Chief Actuary, Andrew is responsible for ensuring the solvency of KLI at all times. He also advices the management on product features, pricing and reinsurance.

Andrew is equipped with a Bachelor in Science degree from University of Cape Town and is also Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (London and India). He has a long standing experience of 29 years in the international financial services industry. Prior to joining Kotak Life Insurance, Andrew held several senior positions in Finance and Customer Solutions at Old Mutual (Kotak Life’s joint venture partner in the Life Insurance business).

Mr. Suresh Agarwal is the Senior Vice President and Head of Alternate channel at Kotak Life Insurance. As the Alternate Channel Head, Suresh’s responsibility includes strengthening and deepening the distribution of Kotak Life Insurance products across various channels viz. Brokers, Banks, Corporate Agents etc.

Equipped with a Bachelors degree in Commerce (HONS), with a further qualification of CA, CS and ICWA, Mr. Agarwal has nearly 7 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Kotak Life Insurance, he was the Regional Head- Corporate Finance with KMFL.

Mr. Shekhar Bhandari is the Senior Vice President and Head of Tied channel or Agency Channel at Kotak Life Insurance. As a Sales Head, his primarily responsibility includes strengthening Pan-India distribution and sales force of the company.

Shekhar is a Bachelor of Commerce with a further qualification of ACA, ACS & CWA. Prior to joining Kotak Life Insurance, Shekhar has been part of Group Companies Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd and Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund.

Anand Dewan is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Management Development Training at Kotak Life Insurance. Anand is responsible for optimization of investments in training and alignment of training needs with business goals.

Anand is a Certified Training & Development Expert from Raytheon Arlington Texas. A winner of prestigious NIS Personification Award at NIS Sparta, Anand has a rich experience of 18 years. Before joining Kotak Life Insurance, he worked in the capacity of Vice President – Talent Transformation at Reliance Retail.

Sandeep heads the Group business at Kotak Life Insurance. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has been an integral part of Kotak Life Insurance since its inception in 2001. Prior to Kotak Life Insurance, Sandip was associated with Kotak Securities from 1992 to 2001.

Sudhakar Shanbag is the Chief Investment Officer for Kotak Life Insurance. Mr. Shanbag is a Chartered Accountant has been part of Kotak Team in varying capacities. Prior to Kotak Life Insurance, Mr. Shanbag was part of the Treasury team at Kotak Mahindra Bank. He has also been an integral part of the Kotak Prime team for 11 years, serving first as a Chief Financial Officer and then taking over as Chief Operating Officer.
